#ISO Lockdown Fitness

So if you're thinking like all of us absolutely insane people, who think it's a great idea to get up and go for a walk or do that thing called exercise... Rather than sipping on a glass of wine surrounded by a plate of cheese, well you mightn't be as insane as we seem.

I'm not saying you can't do both because well, I sure as hell am.
The great thing about going for a walk is that you don't have to do anything but put on those runners (or even wear your thongs, because yes I have done this too) and hop out of those comfy pyjamas into some comfy clothes like your activewear or whatever. Since we're in isolation, just break the rules and wear your loungewear if you even want to (Just make sure your clothed because even though we are in lockdown/isolation) you're not the only one leaving your home. I try to get myself up and get the kids ready to go for a walk everyday. I aim for 30 minutes, because 30 minutes can have you walk around 3-4 kilometres and help your body tone up and even lose some weight if you do it often enough. With my almost 4 week postpartum body, this is definitely my own goal I set in place to try and help ease off some of that extra loving I gained during pregnancy. You don't even have to set yourself a goal, just get out and go for a fun adventure with the kids.
I'm not sure how quick on the socials you are, but there is these two trending things going on in Australia right now (Even across the world). Where people are putting Teddy Bears in their windows, so that people can go on a bear hunt. (#GoingOnABearHunt) Or even getting some chalk/puff paint and taking to the footpaths to create rainbows and positive encouragement for their neighbours. (#RainbowTrail). It is such a good distraction for the kids, and honestly can even make that daily exercise a little more fun. Last week Storm did what I think a lot of people started to do, once the government announced we were going into Stage 3 of lockdown and closed down all of the gyms and outdoor exercise equipment. He begun the set-up of our own home gym and workout area.

Which we can also subside to use as our own 'Iso Party Den' as the bar fridge also resides here.... If you've got kids, I think it's not only a great 'activity' to do with them and I only suggest this, because as everyone knows it releases endorphins and when you're a child cooped up inside for days and weeks upon end - even they're bound to go a little mad and of course drive you mad too. So help burn off some of their energy by getting them involved.
Nyah and I literally pumped up some music today, I don't mean quietly either (Our garage was open and our neighbours and other members of our estate were just walking on by and here we are listening to some Workout Playlist on Spotify doing squats and laughing because we just made awkward eye-to-eye contact with strangers whilst mid squat). It was a load of fun, Nyah even enjoyed herself.

Whilst I stuck to my squats and lunges (strict no-no to doing anymore then that just yet 4 weeks postpartum)... Nyah did some skipping with some skipping ropes, she even tried to do some weight lifting (using my 2kg weights lol), she did some squats, lunges and push ups.
